Abstract

The Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in August 2020 is based on the calculation of the NTP with the base year 2018 (2018 = 100). This NTP calculation includes 5 sub-sectors, namely the sub-sector of rice & crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries.
In August, the NTP of East Nusa Tenggara was 95.74 with the NTP of each sub-sector recorded at 94.54 for the sub-sector of rice-secondary crops (NTP-P); 99.07 for the horticulture subsector (NTP-H); 94.71 for the smallholder plantation sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 102.75 for the livestock sub-sector (NTP-Pt) and 94.34 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTP-Pi).
There was a decrease of 0.44 percent in August NTP when compared to July NTP. This decrease was caused by a decrease in the price index received and paid by farmers.
In rural areas there was a deflation of 0.16 percent due to lower prices for food, beverages and tobacco.
