Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for June 2020 is based on the calculation of NTP with a base year 2018 (2018 = 100). This FTT calculation includes 5 sub-sectors, namely the rice & secondary crops sub-sector, horticulture, smallholder plantations, livestock and fisheries.
In June, the NTP of Nusa Tenggara Timur was 96.19 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 96.22 for the rice-palawija crop subsector (NTP-P); 101.54 for the horticulture subsector (NTP-H); 92.11 for the smallholder estate crops sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 102.67 for the livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 94.80 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).
An increase of 1.00 percent in the June NTP when compared to the May NTP. This increase was due to an increase in the price index received and a decrease in the price index paid by farmers. It can be concluded that in June there was an increase in the price of production commodities while consumption experienced a decline in commodity prices.
In rural areas 0.57 percent deflation was affected by falling prices for food, beverages and tobacco as well as housing, electricity and household fuels.
