Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for May 2020 is based on the calculation of NTP with base year 2018 (2018 = 100). This FTT calculation includes 5 subsectors, namely the rice & secondary crops sub-sector, horticulture, smallholder plantations, livestock and fisheries.
In May, the NTP of East Nusa Tenggara was 95.23 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 95.42 for the rice-palawija subsector (NTP-P); 101.94 for the horticulture subsector (NTP-H); 90.27 for the smallholder estate crops sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 102.29 for the livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 93.69 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).
There was a decrease of 0.38 percent in the May NTP when compared to the April NTP. This decrease was caused by a decrease in the price index both received and paid by farmers. It can be concluded that the price of commodities both production and consumption has decreased.
In rural areas 0.07 percent deflation occurred due to falling prices for food, beverages and tobacco.
