Abstract

April 2020, Nusa Tenggara Timur experienced an inflation of 0.07 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.79. Kupang City experienced an inflation of 0.19 percent, the City of Maumere experienced a deflation of 0.06 percent, and the City of Waingapu experienced a deflation of 0.80 percent.
April 2020 inflation in Nusa Tenggara Timur occurred because of an increase in the price index in 5 of 11 expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced the largest price index increase was the personal care and other services group which rose by 1.25 percent.
In April 2020, out of 90 National CPI sample cities, 39 cities experienced inflation and 51 cities experienced deflation. The city experiencing the highest inflation occurred in Bau-Bau City by 0.88 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Cirebon City by 0.02 percent. While the largest deflation occurred in Pangkal Pinang City by 0.92 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Semarang by 0.02 percent.
