Abstract

In supporting the process of planning, implementing and evaluating development results so that it can run well, accurate, accountable and up to date data and information are needed. Data on socio-economic conditions is needed to provide an overview of development achievements and can also be used by policy makers to evaluate development programs. Data on the needs of people's lives such as clothing, food, housing, education, health are needed to find out how far the achievement of development outcomes reaches all levels of society.
