The economy of NTT in the second quarter of 2020 contracted by 1.96 percent

Abstract

Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) economy based on the amount of Gross Domestic Product (PDRB) at the current price of the second quarter of 20 reached 26.04 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached 16.92 trillion.
The NTT economy in the second quarter of 2020 contracted by 1.96 percent compared to the same period in 2019 (y-on-y). In terms of the business field, the highest economic growth was achieved by the Information and Communication business sector at 15.36 percent. From the expenditure side, the growth with the lowest contraction was in the Household Consumption Expenditure (PK-RT) component of 4.40 percent.
When compared with the previous quarter (q-to-q), the NTT economy in the second quarter of 2020 experienced a growth of 0.92 percent. In terms of business fields, the highest growth occurred in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries business fields amounting to 11.86 percent. Whereas in terms of expenditure the lowest contraction occurred in the Household Consumption Component (PK-RT) of 4.90 percent.
