The 2019 NTT IDI Has Decreased Compared to the 2018 NTT IDI

Abstract

The Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) is a composite indicator that shows the level of development of democracy in Indonesia. The level of achievement is measured based on the implementation and development of 3 aspects, 11 variables, and 28 indicators of democracy.
The methodology for calculating IDI uses 4 data sources, namely: (1) review of local newspapers, (2) review of documents (Perda, Pergub, etc.), (3) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and (4) in-depth interviews. The IDI for NTT 2019 reached 81.02 on a scale of 0 to 100.This figure has decreased compared to the IDI 2018 figure which was 82.32. The achievements of Indonesia's democracy performance are still in the "good" category.
