Abstract

The percentage of poor people in March 2020 of 20.90 percent increased by 0.28 percentage points against September 2019 and decreased 0.19 percentage points against March 2019.
The number of poor people in March 2020 was 1,153.76 thousand people, increasing by 24.3 thousand people in September 2019 and increasing by 7.44 thousand people in March 2019.
The percentage of poor people in urban areas in September 2019 was 8.34 percent, rising to 8.64 percent in March 2020. While the percentage of poor people in rural areas in September 2019 was 24.45 percent, rising to 24.73 percent in March 2020.
Compared to September 2019, the number of poor people in March 2020 in urban areas increased by around 4.8 thousand people (from 108.62 thousand people in September 2019 to 113.39 thousand people in March 2020). Meanwhile, rural areas rose by around 19.5 thousand people (from 1,020.84 thousand people in September 2019 to 1,040.37 thousand people in March 2020).
The poverty line in March 2020 was recorded at Rp403,005 / capita / month with a composition of the food poverty line of Rp316,130 / capita / month (78.44 percent) and the non-food poverty line of Rp86,875 / capita / month (21.56 percent).
On average, poor households in NTT Province in March 2020 had 5.82 household members. Therefore, the average poverty line per poor household is Rp. 2,345,489 / poor / month.
