Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in December 2019 is based on the calculation of NTP with base year 2012 (2012 = 100). This FTT calculation includes 5 subsectors, namely the rice & secondary crops sub-sector, horticulture, smallholder plantations, livestock and fisheries.

In December 2019, the East Nusa Tenggara FTT of 106.26 with the FTT of each subsector was 109.10 for the rice-palawija subsector (FTT-P); 102.19 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 99.81 for the smallholder estate crops sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 112.04 for the livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 109.53 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).

There was a decrease of 0.60 percent in the NTP of December 2019 when compared to the NTP of November 2019. It can be concluded that the level of purchasing power and term of trade of farmers in rural areas decreased compared to the previous month or there was a decline in the price of agricultural production while prices the need for agricultural consumption is increasing.
